I wish you luck with that. I'm bracing for going through it w/my parents someday, not too far in the future.mcmCPHhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13883020011766114854noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8127927.post-36714488307640510022009-02-09T16:39:00.000-08:002009-02-09T16:39:00.000-08:00I'm both sad and relieved for you. I feel powerless to deal with my mother's dementia 3000 miles away.
I'm relieved to hear that you were able to find a nice place for her, close by, and most importantly that she is settling in well.
Children are resilient. I find that honesty is the best policy as other approaches are difficult to maintain and adapt to changes. It sounds like you are coming up with an age appropriate honest answer for Sophie - Kudos.
You are in my thoughts...Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8127927.post-73221022311902448272009-02-09T16:38:00.000-08:002009-02-09T16:38:00.000-08:00You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers...You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.
